This is helpful, but what is the payment rate? Double time, time and a half?
ReplyDeleteThe payment rate none the take away from your regular hours just to pay the time and half rate.
DeleteCompany wide it is time and a half. individual contracts might have better holiday rates. Check with your scheduling manager for details on what contracts pay what.
ReplyDeleteWe dont get Christmas eve as holiday pay damn I should had a flex officer cover my shift so I would have actually seen my family
ReplyDeleteIt is just too easy to honor the holidays that you want to avoid doing the right thing, and it is a shame because the pay rate is not high, so you guys should try to make it up some how out of consideration for your dedicated workers, put yourself in our shoes, with the same family, living, up keep issues that you have.
ReplyDeleteI look at it like this if we work 80 regular hours they should not be able to subtract from your regular hours just to pay time and half this is not right.
ReplyDeleteIf they didn't subtract from your regular hours to give you time and a half, you'd be getting 2.5 times your normal pay for those hours instead of time and a half.
DeleteWhat is the payrate for overtime worked on a holiday? I'm about to work 11 hours on Independence Day, 3 of which will be overtime. Is it all time and a half?
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the contract. But it's a minimum of one half of your pay rate.
DeleteI just want to know if we get paid time and a half for working July 4th. Because I was told we werent and isn't that against the law?
ReplyDeleteYes you should. If not contact your branch office.
DeleteI didn't work 40 hours the week of 4th of July i worked on the 4th should they pay me time and a half for that day
ReplyDeleteDo secritas pay double time on sundays if u worked 7 straight days in a row?
ReplyDeleteDo flex officers get paid time & half if they work on a holiday?
ReplyDeleteDo we get paid for Columbus Day?
ReplyDeleteSecuritass sucks big time !!! They expect you to bend over backwards for them... But they don't want to take care of the people who do right by them and make them money !!!! Their is an old saying... Ya gotta take care of , What takes care of you !!!
ReplyDeleteSecuritas..... You need to take care of what takes care of you.... Your people make you money.... So you need to do right by them!!!
ReplyDeleteThis company doesn't care. I've scheduled 2 days off both days approved, both days forgotten. When I call to get it fixed I get 'there's nothing I can do about it, work it or find another job' - salt lake city branch.
ReplyDeleteI worked a sixteen hour shift once. The first eight hours were normal pay. The next would hours was time and half which is twelve hours total. The next four hours was double pay which was a total of sixteen hours. I made $500.00 that week after taxes. Wish I could make that much every week. I am just doing this job because it is easy, get to work by myself which I prefer, get paid weekly and to subized my ssdi income.
